The Extra Heavy Duty Conventional - CX range uses calcium-calcium technology to generate more power, requiring less maintenance, and lasts longer than any other conventional battery.

  • More Power  The CX range generates up to 8% more cold cranking amperage than the Extra Heavy Duty Conventional making it ideal for modern high compression machines requiring more starting power.
  • Lower Maintenance  The CX calcium-calcium technology also reduces water loss, so the CX type requires lower maintenance (water filling) only about one eighth as often as conventional lead-antimony types.
  • Longer Life  The CX type holds its charge more than three times as long as conventional lead-antimony type batteries resulting in longer storage or stand by mode. This feature means longer periods between charges, especially during winter month.

All sizes come complete with acid packs and filling instructions.

MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Like all conventional automotive batteries (no matter what brand), it is essential to periodically service the battery to ensure maximum life. As a general rule of thumb this should be done each time your car is serviced by your mechanic.

Service requirement include:

  • Keep battery topped up with distilled or deionised water.
  • Do not over fill
  • Check electrical connections to ensure they are clean & tight
  • Do not overcharge battery. Maximum recharging voltage is 14.6 Volts.
  • Keep battery clean & dry. Use only bicarbonate of soda & water to clean. Rinse afterwards with clean water.
  • Ensure vent plugs are in place at all times.
  • Ensure that unused battery is charged every 3 months or when voltage is below 12.6 Volts.
  • Failure to follow these instructions will void warranty.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Lead-acid batteries generate explosive gases.

Keep sparks, flames and lighted cigarettes away from battery. Keep metal objects away from terminals. When charging or using in enclosed spaces, provide ventilation.

The battery contains sulfuric acid. Do not tilt the battery or turn the battery upside down.

Should the acid spill from the battery, Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. In event of accident flush with water and call doctor immediately.
