For equipment requiring more power such as Jet Skis, ATV’s and Touring Bikes, the SSB Power Sport Extra Heavy Duty Conventional range uses state-of-the-art separators to allow 2 additional plates per cell increasing both Amp Hour and Cold Cranking Performance.

The Extra Heavy Duty Conventional range consists of 12 Volt varieties available in capacities and sizes ranging from 3 to 30 Amp Hour and all sizes come complete with acid packs and filling instructions. SSB PowerSport Extra Heavy Duty Conventional up to 30% higher capacity than most other motorcycle batteries sold in Australia.

MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Like all conventional automotive batteries (no matter what brand), it is essential to periodically service the battery to ensure maximum life. As a general rule of thumb this should be done each time your car is serviced by your mechanic.

Service requirement include:

  • Keep battery topped up with distilled or deionised water.
  • Do not over fill
  • Check electrical connections to ensure they are clean & tight
  • Do not overcharge battery. Maximum recharging voltage is 14.6 Volts.
  • Keep battery clean & dry. Use only bicarbonate of soda & water to clean. Rinse afterwards with clean water.
  • Ensure vent plugs are in place at all times.
  • Ensure that unused battery is charged every 3 months or when voltage is below 12.6 Volts.
  • Failure to follow these instructions will void warranty.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Lead-acid batteries generate explosive gases.

Keep sparks, flames and lighted cigarettes away from battery. Keep metal objects away from terminals. When charging or using in enclosed spaces, provide ventilation.

The battery contains sulfuric acid. Do not tilt the battery or turn the battery upside down.

Should the acid spill from the battery, Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. In event of accident flush with water and call doctor immediately.
